Thanks, Becca! Glad you enjoyed it. And I know what you mean about keeping up with NaBloPoMo. Good point! I am SO behind on reading everyone. I appreciate you staying tuned in to us!!! (In all of your spare time, go check out some of Bilgere's other work. He's amazing.)

I've now read this to myself 3 times and out loud to three others and I love it. Thank you for sharing. Not only is writing every day for a month hard but reading everyone's daily posts is also a lot to keep up with so thank you for making this one so easy to love!

Ooh. I'm going to go read that poem. I love poems. Perfect poems. That capture just exactly what they are supposed to and speak to me in the loud truth. If only the act of reading poetry could cure the swine flu.

It's difficult to write on Sundays, isn't it? I don't know why. I'll check out your post!

Indeed. I like to tack poems up around me. Every now and then I rip them down and start over. But this one has made the cut many times. I do wish I could write poetry. But, alas...

What a gorgeous and insightful poem. I'd never read it before. I love it. Thanks for sharing it with us; there's always room for another beautiful poem in the world.

I know I was on this way on Saturday. I was like meme, meme somebody find me a half decent meme, just so I can post something today. But then I thought of an idea for Your Place & Mine and wrote a really long post. LOL

This is lovely. I've been trying to write my way off the island for some time. The damn laundry and dishes have a way of interrupting the flow.

One of my favorites - has been for years - by Pablo Neruda, "Emerging." It is a poem about strength, and interrelationships, and the perpetual climb back up - to almost anything.

I have it posted on my site, and tucked it under my link.

Meanwhile, I'd say your posted poem more than qualifies for putting some good stuff out into the universe today. (Now... orange juice, chicken soup, and call me in the morning.)
