Remember Gremlins?

Gremlin card front

I wasn’t going to write anything at all with this. However, I feel it is vital to point out that Tammy was Sarah’s beloved Cabbage Patch doll. As far as I know, all other references are to actual people. (But don’t ask me about the Nerds in hearts.)

I love the nerds in hearts, made me smile.

That is so cute, especially how even the doll was scared.

My kids wrote me supervised letters from camp last summer where they said they were having a great time, and then they wrote me letters in private and begged and pleaded to be picked up early.

Oh, I remember those homesick camp days. So sad. I also remember my mom never writing that she missed me. We talked about it much later on and she told me she didn’t say she missed me because she didn’t want me to feel sad. Meanwhile, all I wanted was to be missed!

Could the nerds in hearts be a reference to Nerds candy? I know I loved them as a kid…okay, still do.

Loved these little bits from the Momalom archives!

Oh yes, the Nerds in Hearts was most definitely a reference to the candy. Without a doubt! And yeah, I still love them too!

Jeez. This makes me think of Pet Rocks! (A silly trend. I suspect gremlins and cabbage patch are a little more substantial!)

We call our girl Gizmo when she’s being sweet because she looks so much like a Mogwai (and turns into a Gremlin when up too late).

I adore this little blast from the past! I wish my sisters and I had been close as children so I could stumble upon little relics of our sisterhood. I did get a letter from my son at camp this past summer (his first time going!) and it was magical.

Keep ‘em coming!
