“Mama, Can I help you?”
“Sure, honey, do you want to peel the carrot?”
“OK!”

And on that note, there’s still time to participate in Love it Up. Write a love letter. Make it racy. Passionate. Gooey. While your kids are making their Valentine’s for classmates this week, sit beside them and draft something LOVEly. Then, link it here!

That is too cute!! I love when my girly wants to help me! It doesn’t really matter if they make a mistake, does it? It only matters that we allow ourselves, for a brief moment, to forget perfection and embrace our the sweet, helping spirits of our children.
Yes! On letting go of perfection. And expectations. My ENTIRE LIFE has revolved around this since having babies. Having three babies, especially!
You always see a meaningful message in it all, Amber, thank you!
Well, at least you know one thing your kid is really REALLy good at. ;)
I have to tell you, this was the blog post that put the biggest smile on my face today.
Like I told Sarah, “Some days, life gives us a deep revelation; other days, it gives us a dessicated carrot.” Still laughing over that picture.
Wow, someone took their job REALLY seriously! :)
And so you know, entry #29, Hannah made me do it. She wanted her love letter to be seen by all.
Love the carrot. Thanks to the Food Network, every kid wants to be a chef now!
Oh, I love the anemic carrot. But really, what drew my attention is: Wow, you guys peel and cook carrots. Impressive. Any carrots in our house are the pre-washed baby kinds dipped heavily into ranch.
This is hilarious! Love the anemic carrot.
Sarah, I loved this post…You learn to appreciate and even look forward crazy looking carrots and those helpful little hands…Thanks for your kind comment on my love letter post. I so enjoy reading the antics of you and your sister, as my sister and I are that close…and really, the kids are all we talk about anyway, too. Just posted something I think you and Jen would get a good laugh with. Wishing you many hugs from your sweet valentine’s at home
That is so funny! I bet those excessive peels would look lovely on top of a salad.
Not that we eat salads at our house or anything. But I’ve heard that some people do.
