Dishing out the Five for Ten details

Has anyone noticed the recent influx of baby pictures? Man, I’m wistful for the early days. This is my first little guy, Jamis, back when every moment was cute. We lived in Florida. Life was simple. What the heck happened? And…can I ever get a glimpse of that again? Just for a day?

***

We’ll be serving up some details on Five for Ten tomorrow! Please be sure to stop by. Grab the button code from our sidebar while you’re here, and plaster it on your site, in a post, or on your forehead. Whatever suits you. We are excited to start Round Deux, and would love your help in spreading the word. Let’s create the biggest blogging conversation we possibly can–across multiple blogs–for ten days! Woohoo!

It is not a requirement, but if you would like to drop your name in the bucket and let others know you’ll be participating, please do. I’ve created a linky doodad here, so type in your name, email address and blog URL and you’re all set! If you are uncertain and need more information, remember that we’ll be dishing out the details tomorrow.

Jen and I are easy to get along with, so hop on board!

Ack! I can’t remember the rules for five for ten. Is this the one where I have to drink a lot and post every day for a week? I swore I’d never do that again. Even though it was awesome. Really, really awesome. And I only drank a little before I fell asleep. So maybe I will. But maybe it’s not. Please advise.

Wow, I hate that “this blog has moved” nonsense. My last blog post was a guest post from Kristen, who I met here. Which is another good reason to participate. Hmm. I seem to be talking myself into this.

Yes! Talk yourself into it!
No drinking involved. Or, shall I say, drinking optional.
This is the comment every day for 10 days one. But this time…with a twist!!! Come back tomorrow Mind Body Mama…for the slow reveal.

Although it’s amusing to convince Lynne that she has to get drunk and post constantly, we probably shouldn’t, huh? Dang. That would have been great entertainment.

You all are soooo… wonderful!

I can’t wait – even though I may have to blog on pad and paper and type it in after those jury duty days. I will be here reading and typing in my spare time.

When it comes to my mobile phone, I just last summer upgraded to one that would receive photos via message. I know! I am not the connected all the time person – really! I love getting away from it all but did watch with true interest at everyone checking devices on breaks. LOL!

This little guy would be a kindred spirit to my oldest who has now taken to bringing his own teddy bear into the bathroom, cause you know, when a guys got to go, a teddy has to too.

Can’t wait for 5 for 10!! Love all of you guys, you enrich my life in ways I never imagined.

What I want to know is, is Kitch going to serve up appetizers and drinks for all of us who participate?? =>

And if God loves me, I’ll be participating from the hospital with a healthy newborn out of my body already. This momma says rent’s due.

Ooh, Yes! Kitch should dish up some good stupid-simple recipes for this one (hint: Jen is a vegetarian). And, uh, yayayayayyayayayay for baby #3. We totally get it if you keep it short in the comments section lady-loo! Do the best you can and let us allllll know what that happy bouncing bundle arrives. HOW AWESOME.

Okay, here’s my theory on why you keep posting baby oictures, Sarah (to get back to the first topic!) – you’re ready for #4! (ha ha) Don’t kick me off of 5 for 10 for my sorry joke…
.-= Linda´s last blog ..Scaled Down =-.

Sarah replies

Yeah, yeah, I know. Number Four. Just having a difficult time convincing myself, I think. No, that’s not even true. Here’s what I think it is…I THINK about #4 and I think, oh yeah, definitely. But the fact that I’ve been scrolling through years worth of baby photos recently is not even my brain saying “go look at baby photos,” it is a total and complete impulse to do so, which scares me even MORE.

As in, “What the HELL am I thinking???”

Reply

momalomsmom replies

Yes, what the hell are you thinking? Of course, that would make it an even 10 for me….

Reply

Jen replies

Ha ha ha, Mom. You are funny. An even 10. I think nine has a nice symmetry. Three kids. Nine grandkids. You’re one of six. There’s a certain pattern of threes, no? And even in the boy/girl splilt. Six grandsons, three granddaughters. Sarah, you could really mess up a nice pattern here. You do have a girl DOG, remember? (Says the dog person…)

Sarah replies

Okay, okay with the symmetry aspect. I GET it. GAH!

Sarah replies

Oh Linda, BTW, you BEST be adding yourself to the Five For Ten linky after that jab in my side…
(which we both know is really more of a keen observation…)

Reply

Linda replies

Here’s my next faint whisper in your ear… “Maybe number four would be a baby girl!” (I know I’m evil!) But you’d better talk to Jen about this, because if you have a 4th, due to bloggy rules, she has to too, right? :)

Okay, I’m on the linky list.
.-= Linda´s last blog ..Scaled Down =-.

Reply

Sarah replies

Oh you are evil. Chances are the baby girl would be a total long shot, right? Silly to even contemplate such things? Unfortunately, our father was an avid follower of horse races, and once won LARGE on a long shot. I think it’s in my genes. And, if I can convince my husband that it’s in his genes, too (or, er, jeans), then we’ll probably walk the road to #4. However, I think that Jen may have to break our bloggy rules. She doesn’t seem to have the same baby lust I’ve been dealing with. Baby lust. Sigh.

Reply

Jen replies

No number four for me, ladies. I think another pregnancy would do me — and my family — in. Maybe adoption in a few years? Actually, I’m feeling like three is perfect. For me. We’ll roll with it if Sarah goes for #4.
.-= Jen´s last blog ..Dishing out the Five for Ten details =-.

momalomsmom replies

Ahhhh, that would make 11. Then Justin would have to have his 4th for an even dozen. It would be a dynasty. Wait, maybe it already is…

Reply

Jen replies

I think we all know that Justin is not having a fourth. So I am not going to bow to the pressure of four. I’m sticking with my brother on this one. Three. Three. Three. It IS a dynasty already. Of COURSE it is. The GG dynasty.

At any rate, count me in, url or no url. I’ll be reading and thinking and writing and can’t wait.

Sanity says 9 is perfect. In all ways. But baby-lust isn’t sane. It’s just lust. Lovely, lovely lust. For the sweet smell of a new baby, and the skin that’s so soft you can’t quite feel it, and the warm, lump of heaviness in your arms. And, believe it or not, at my advanced age, I still have it. But then I sober up and remember myself and regain sanity. Sarah? You listening? Sanity is out there….

Maybe it’s just the omnipresent fact of womanhood – at least for some of us – that need to procreate. These days I pour that into my gardens. And am content. : )

Okay, what is it with you two? I mean, really! Why the hell are you both trying to convince me all the time that I’m outta mah mind?! I think we need to close this conversation. We can reopen it after I tell you I’m pregnant. Hmm, what will you say then?

Reply

momalomsmom replies

Ouch. Not trying to do anything. Not thinking you’re outta your mind. Also not ending the conversation. I’m thinking pink.

Or blue.

Or maybe green?
