Five for Ten Again!

Yay! Five for Ten is coming back, baby! And this time, with a spin and a twist and a turn and…you get the point, right?

So, are you new to Five for Ten?

Well, back in November, 2009, Jen and I had this wild idea to commit to ten days of getting to know our readers a bit better. You can educate yourselves on the logistics of the whole affair here. And you can browse all the Five for Ten posts here. What you are really going to be most interested in–if you choose to browse the posts–is the comments section. Any Five for Ten-er (Tenner? Ten-ner?) will tell you that the comments section was really where the magic happened during those ten days. And dare I say that the communication we were able to spark six months ago in our own comments section has carried through to many of the blogs I frequently visit today. It is not uncommon to visit Kristen at Motherese, for example, and be blown away by the insightful banter of her readers in the comments section.

So, the twist? Sure, I’ll give you a peek. You will have much more participation in this whole affair and we are excited for it. Annnnnnd…that’s all I’m going to say for now. You’ll have to come back for more details. I’m really looking forward to starting a small, little bloggy movement here. You know, in our own little corner of the Internet.

So join us for Five for Ten. Spread the word. Come back later tonight or tomorrow and we’ll have a button you can grab and paste on your site to show your support.

We are giving you plenty of notice this time around:

Five for Ten will begin May 10th and run through May 19th.

And the last thing I will say is to get your thinking caps on, because we want you to show us and everyone else out there just how fabulous you are and why everyone should take notice!!!

ps: The Five for Ten button is now up! Grab the code and paste it into your sidebar and show your support for our community!

Is it that time of year already? Wow – spring has sprung. Time to go for the Five-and-Ten. Oh, Five for Ten. Hmm. Can I stop by the dime storm and pick up some party favors? Thinking caps, for example?

So excited to see you are brining this back. I missed it the first time as I was just really getting rolling with my own little space of blog heaven, but I’ve heard so many others mention it that I must admit I am so intrigued! I can’t wait to hear more!

I missed the first since I discovered your blog rather recently (and so glad I did) but I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

I saw that you launched your first 5 for 10 on my daughter’s 1st birthday. Not exactly earth-shattering but thought I’d mention it. Occasionally I like being the bearer of useless information. Better than bad news I guess.

I’m thrilled you are bringing Five for Ten back – and with a new look for spring.

I can’t wait to embark on another ten days of reading and writing with you and the fabulous members of the community you created with the first edition.

Cheers!

Can I get my disclaimer in now?? I’ll have a newborn during the Five for Ten prime time. I won’t be sleeping. I won’t be coherent (most likely). But that just makes for more interesting posts and comments, right? Here’s to my first Five for Ten … Let’s hope I remember it! =>

Stacia, you don’t need a disclaimer. After having a baby you are exempt from excusing your absence. It becomes our responsibility to visit you. : )

Fun! I hadn’t discovered Momalom the last time you did this (well, really I hadn’t discovered ANYONE the last time you did this!) so this will be my first time participating! We’ll see if there’s a chance in the world of me posting every day for ten days!

And Stacia, we will visit you anyway, after Bun is born!

It was through the 5 for 10 that I found Kristen and Aidan, I believe! I’m in. Lord knows these days I need a little discipline (read: peer pressure) to get me regularly back on here and everywhere else.

Oh my dear Natalie,
Is your salon appointment in need so that you can feel your best? Be at your best? Look your best? Or is it, perhaps, so that you can steal the time away for yourself that you need to be the best you that you need to be? Or wait, is that me? Do I need to schedule hours away from life as I know it so that I can be the me that I need to be? Hmm, perhaps too many questions to explore.

You know I love you girls, but I just can’t keep up with blogs that post every day. I’m an ‘every-few-days’ kind of reader who pops over a reads a couple of posts at a time. Or I skim through and read one of the new three that have gone up (here, and elsewhere). So know that I love Momalom, but I can’t read blogs every day. :( Sorry friends. I”ll have to miss the fun.

I read Christine’s post tonight at Coffees & Commutes and it jarred my memory of your blog. And here I am now perusing some comments I haven’t caught up on…
Would love for you to join Five for Ten. It’s all about building better relationships with like-minded bloggers. From what I’ve read on your site I think it’d be right up your alley. Not the same as grabbing a pedicure on a lazy Saturday afternoon, but awesome nonetheless!

Yes! Jump on in! Nothing to be nervous about at all. And I guarantee that you’ll walk away after ten days with a whole bunch of new people to follow and get to know even better. The key is the conversations. And reading each others’ posts. It’s a great time, really!
