(Things that made me happy this week)
Remember the dog that eats the food off my floor so I don’t really have to clean? Yup. Still happy about that.

2YO insisting he drink his yogurt through the straw of his cereal bowl. 7YO grabbing a marker and a scrap of paper to draw a !!! because I was laughing so hard.
Laughing = me happy = my kid happy = !!!
Simple as that.

Oh, I hope you can see the detail on this one.
You might want to click on the picture for an enlargement.
7YO says “Mom, mom, so-and-so did such-and-such and I got HURT! OW!”
What does mom do?
Squints real hard to find boo-boo. Grabs pen. Circles the “wound” and draws big arrows, indicating “Big Bad Booboo.”
Then draws a !!! above it all.
It was either find the funny in a tiny bit of rug burn or get increasingly annoyed that my 7YO whines over a hairline scratch when my 2YO has a three inch bloody gash on his foot that’s apparently been there for days because no one noticed and he never once said “ow!”
•
Lunch out with a friend I haven’t seen in ages is definitely cause for some !!! don’t you think?
Laughing so hard we have to pee? Bonus.

The little kid talking is what got me. LOVE THAT VOICE. Though I’ll tell you my 16-month old would be all over that fridge (the food I mean).

Love that your 7YO drew a !!! for you! And the map to your son’s boo-boo is awesome!
I think Hubby and I are WAY too uptight to ever allow fridge surfing. My kid would be in so much shit! But the fact that you are easy-going enough to actually laugh and take video of this deserves a huge !!! :-)

It may not have to do with family per se, but “Work of Art” last evening made me happy. Creating art is, after all, a sort of giving birth. And as a passionate art lover, seeing Reality TV not trivialize the art-making process made me very happy !!!

The 2YO and 7YO yogurt drinking photo is priceless!!!
I love what you did with your son’s little boo-boo. I feel like doing that sometimes, too. Although usually when my kids complain about a boo-boo I can’t even find a mark on their body anywhere.

Ok Sarah. Really? you drew on your son? We need to get you out of the house.
I really don’t want to know what your son will hang from next time. He was so cute but I think he’s going to be looking for lots of new opportunities to swing from now.

This article brings back so many memories. thanks for reminding me.
Enjoy those little ones and the messes they can make, because time can go so fast.
Now that my little ones are grown I do enjoy when the grand kids come over and I find those little finger prints on the glass of sliding doors or the TV screen.
Thanks again,
Debbie
I love that maping of the Big Bad Boo Boo! I think I might do it the next time we have some catastrophe that I am sure is looming in my near future!
I love that we are doing this on a weekly basis. It really is inspiring to see what we consider !!!

Is that Max in both clips? What a cut up! Although I waited to watch the fridge video when my kids weren’t crawling on me, I’m too uptight to let my 3 get any ideas HAHA!

Like I said on her site, love this idea. My blog is all about seeing the positive and the lessons we learn from life each day. Which is excatly what intentional happiness is about.

So, we don’t have a dog. But we do have a two-year-old. Is it wrong if I don’t stop him from “cleaning” the floor sometimes?
On a different note, cheers to laughing. Especially with friends.
