It’s not sexual, but it’s lust all the same. Pure. Lust.

My favorite novel

My cherished collection (one-and-two-thirds shelves of Stegner magic)

Evidence of stalking (I told you it was lust)

Love love LOVE this. I swear this is also where my lust lies right now. Not with a particular author but with my bookshelf. So many books I am dying to read, and haven’t had time. Just looking at your photos–seeing anyone else’s bookshelves–makes me all lusty-like. Yes, I am a huge nerd. No, I am not embarrassed about this.

Good call. Nothing turns me on like a good book (and a hot bath, and a cup of tea, and a down comforter). So sexy!! Do you accept non-mommies (yet) to this social experiment?

I actually envy that kind of lust. I don’t have it.

That makes me happy! All roads lead to the book store. I do indeed lust after books and can relate to your lust for Stegner’s book.

A girl after my own heart. How can I not love a girl who lusts after books. I am having a garage sale this weekend and while clearing away the old things to get rid of I was struck by my collection of Michael Creighton paperbacks, my FIRST EVER book collection. I lusted after those books as a teenager. Couldn’t get enough. And even though I know I will never read them again, I am having trouble parting with them. Love, love, love this post!

I really did get CTS from the library. Though I’ve had a hard time finding quality time to devote to reading it. I’m only about 40 pages in, but it is gorgeous. I feel like I woke up with them in the woods.
Funnily enough, I heard his essay “Everything Potent is Dangerous” on The Bob Edwards Show, April 2, 2010 and my husband and I were struck by how close it fit to our hearts. I wrote down his name, the name of the book the essay was featured in and the name of the radio show. None of which I remembered – as is my M.O. So I didn’t realize your recommendation was for an author I already admired until my husband saw the book on my night stand and asked about it!
